Statutes & Rules: DLSS implements a number of Colorado’s wage and hour and other kinds of labor statutes and labor guidelines, including the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (“ COMPS Order“), and the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations

Demands & Complaints for Wages: If a company owes you incomes, you can send your employer a composed need for payment of incomes by mail, email, text message, or other electronic methods. A written demand may be sent out to the employer at the same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for overdue salaries is submitted with the Division. The Labor Standards Complaint Form can be discovered on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements webpage.

Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a total Labor Standards Complaint Form is gotten and employment examined, a letter explaining the nature of the problem and the quantities declared to be owed is sent to the employer. Investigations Launched by the Division (“ Direct Investigations“): The Division might carry out employer-wide direct examinations of possible offenses of Colorado wage and hour law.
