Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities

Wage Payment: employment Employee rights consist of:- Spend for all salaries made (INFO # 3) at the rate accepted by the employer and staff member.

Labor Statutes, Rules, & Published Guidance

Statutes & Rules: DLSS imposes many of Colorado’s wage and hour and other kinds of labor statutes and labor rules, consisting of the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (“ COMPS Order“), and the Equal Spend For Equal Work Act. Please visit the Division’s Labor Statutes and Labor Rules websites for current and previous versions of crucial Colorado labor statutes and guidelines.

Published Guidance: The Division’s main types of public assistance are:- INFOs (Interpretive Notices and Formal Opinions) – the Division’s formally authorized notices, viewpoints, and descriptions on different labor law subjects; and.

Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations

Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you salaries, you can send your company a written demand for payment of salaries by mail, email, text, employment or employment other electronic ways. A written demand may be sent to the employer at the very same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for unpaid earnings is submitted with the Division. Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a total Labor Standards Complaint Form is received and examined, a letter discussing the nature of the grievance and the amounts declared to be owed is sent to the employer. Investigations Launched by the Division (“ Direct Investigations“): The Division might perform employer-wide direct investigations of prospective violations of Colorado wage and hour law. If you want to submit an individual claim for overdue incomes, you must submit a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements web page. To appeal a direct investigation citation or several Notices of Assessment, a supposed company may send a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
